Andra Ocean Guardian CTD

It is a sturdy, durable, and powerful CTD analyzer developed based on the Ocean Guardian platform. It can be used for self capacitive measurements of temperature, conductivity (salinity), and depth. At the same time, the instrument can also serve as a platform extension to add other measurement parameters such as ocean currents, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, waves, and tides.

The integrated sensors (temperature, conductivity, pressure) are all intelligent sensors that can automatically detect and identify. The conductivity sensor adopts the principle of inductive measurement, so it is not easily contaminated and damaged when used for long-term monitoring; The temperature sensors 4880/4060 adopt the principle of thermistor bridge; The pressure sensors 4646/4117 adopt the principle of quartz piezoresistive bridge.

Ocean Guardian CTD is mainly used for long-term continuous monitoring of salinity, temperature, and depth. The application areas include nearshore monitoring, climate research, and aquaculture.
